Kadugodi, Hoskote, Budigere Cross and Whitefield compared
Last updated 31 October 2026
In short. These four places sit along one corridor on Bengaluru's east side. Whitefield is the mature core, Kadugodi is the metro end of it, Budigere Cross lies to the west of the project, and Hoskote is the industrial town to the north-east. Which suits you depends mostly on where you work and how you travel.
The corridor at a glance
Picture Whitefield at the south-west end and Hoskote at the north-east. Whitefield–Hoskote Road (SH-35) joins them, and Kadugodi, where the Purple Line ends, sits near the Whitefield end. Budigere Cross has a retail and schools cluster, about 18 minutes from the planned My Home township by the developer's estimate.
How they compare
The table below is drawn from the developer's own area document. The ratings are the developer's judgement, are marked there as indicative, and were not independently measured by us.
| Factor | Whitefield | Budigere Cross | Hoskote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Distance to the Purple Line metro | Walk or a short drive | About 25 minutes (indicative) | About 30 minutes (indicative) |
| Grade-A offices within 10 km | Very high | Moderate | Moderate, with industry |
| Large open land for big projects | Very limited | Available | Ample |
| Schools, hospitals, retail | Fully mature | Developing | Developing |
Kadugodi is part of the Whitefield catchment and holds the metro terminus, so for metro access it behaves like the Whitefield column. The planned township sits further along the road, between Kadugodi and Hoskote.
We deliberately leave out prices, price per square foot and any claim about future appreciation. We have no confirmed figures for this project, and rates quoted elsewhere often disagree.
Choosing between them
If you work in Whitefield, ITPL or EPIP, places nearer Whitefield and the metro cut the commute, and facilities are the most developed.
If you work in Hoskote or the KIADB industrial belt, living towards Hoskote shortens the trip, and larger plots of land are still available there.
If you travel by metro, the distance to the Kadugodi terminus matters more than the area name. Time it.
If you want established schools and hospitals right next door, the developer rates Whitefield as fully mature and the other two as developing. Check the specific ones you would use.
Do it yourself
- Write down every regular trip your household makes: offices, schools, family, hospital.
- Time each trip from each area at your real travel hour.
- Visit each area on a weekday and a weekend.
- Ask the developer or broker for anything they quote in writing.
